CLASSES:
I love Boxfit on a Saturday morning. I come away from class feeling completely energised and ready for the weekend. Russell's shouting is actually very motivating?? It's a friendly group and there's always a bit of banter. It doesn't matter if you have never even put on a pair of boxing gloves because the class is structured for all levels and you will be sure to get a really good workout. Go on!.give it a try!! JO
Most people feel they could be fitter.. but they are anxious about taking the first step on that journey.. I was exactly like that.. As soon as my first session started that anxiety soon faded and was replaced.. by a good pain. There was an immediate warm welcome and it was very non threatening environment.. The constant variety and pace make it entertaining and different. More sustainable, this doesn't feel like the gym where everything is fine for the first few month until the novelty wears off then all you have to show for it is a nice card in your walltet. Every session is a new challenge and the hour flies by. PETE
Before the flyer for Freshfit plopped through the door in March this year, I was more used to 'plopping' myself onto the sofa after a hard days work and this was leading me to have a very sedentary lifestyle. Certainly not a good thing! I loathe gyms and so joining Freshfit seemed like the perfect answer. From day one on turning up, I was made to feel very welcome and there's no little 'cliques' within any of the groups of people that go. We are pushed hard, and rightly so, but never made to feel inadequate if an exercise is just that little bit too challenging. There's certainly something for everyone, no matter what your shape or size and to top it off, the hour flies by as you're having such a good laugh with everyone! Come along, even if it's to simply play Freshfit-Ball!.. JONATHAN
Russell has helped me to gain fitness and strength, and in doing so I have lost 2 stone in weight, he is an excellent motivator and his classes are so varied and enjoyable. He is currently educating me on my eating habits and so far I have lost a further 6 lbs in 3 weeks. I treat his classes like I treat work - as in not optional GLEN
I have been doing FreshFitMK sessions for about a year now and I can testify that they really are for anyone. All ages, sexes and abilities are thoughtfully integrated into the session so that everyone gets a great workout without anyone feeling less worthy. I really enjoy being part of this friendly group in which everyone is encouraged and I feel that we have all improved our levels of fitness by participating. Great work, keep it up. Cheers, LAWRENCE
You can't get "there" in this group because there is no "there" to get to, the only person you are competing against is yourself so it makes no difference if you're the fastest or the slowest (as in my case). I know attending the group won't transform me into Kate Moss or any other super model for that fact, but I do know it will make me into a fitter and healthier version of myself and than can be no bad thing. PERSONAL TRAINING:
"I am impressed with Russ knowledge and professionalism. After trying a gym and given the wrong advice I was set back to being a couch potato, but after a free consultation and first free lesson with Russ I feel inspired to reach my goal. I am a woman of a certain age and an absolute beginner, Russ is friendly, but don't let that fool you he certainly makes me work hard, but I trust him to make the tasks within my capability. But boy I do feel the work out has worked after the following days!. I have passed this motivation on to my neighbours and now there are 5 of us ladies that go out on the local green working out but socialising at the same time." SARAH
I've always been interested in sport and fitness and as I've got older have seen no reason to change. I was looking for a personal Trainer who was very knowledgeable (I know I would be critical with my knowledge of sports medicine) could inspire and motivate who would not be condescending as I am a little older than the average person requesting personal training and would not be afraid to push me. In Russell I have found all of these and more. I have definately chosen the best. PAT
Over the years I have had numerous personal trainers, some good, some bad. I have to say though that Russell is by far the best, fun and friendly and very imaginative/inventive with the activities. Why else would I get up at 6am to train with him? CARLY M.
Hi Russell Can't thank you enough for training session last night. I was hesitating about coming as my back was niggling due to the heavy gardening I had done without the usual care with my back when digging !!! After the full hour of all that comprehensive stretching I felt really good, so good in fact that we went for a walk all the way to the grove pub and back(stopping for a drink of course) and unlike my shorter walk on Sunday I had absolutely no pain radiating down my leg. I have used Russell's services as a personal trainer and I also attend his boot camp sessions at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes. I can thoroughly recommend him to anyone that needs to get fit and has limited time to do it in. His sessions are painful but effective and fun. Gaynor
BOOTCAMPS:
I decided to go to Freshfit after my training had stalled somewhat. I thought I needed a kickstart back into training, but also wanted to try something different after spending most of my time running. I signed up to the four week bootcamp and I have to say it really gave me the kick that I needed. Not only did it make me review the way I train, but I also got brilliant results too. The help and advice I got was great, and the training environment was very relaxed and welcoming. I would certainly recommend anyone give it a go if you are looking for the support and motivation you need to get some results. Thanks a lot for all your help Freshfit Carly F
I recently completed 10K Race for Life in under an hour, this was due to the fantastic Boot Camps run by Russ. They are brilliant! Each one is different, outdoors, high energy and really good fun. Why exercise indoors when you can do Boot Camp?! My stamina and strength have increased and I feel great. I recommend to everyone, him and Kat make a great team and they have a great sense of humour too. Anne
